We understand our users’ concerns regarding the privacy of their data. This Privacy Policy will help them understand the nature of the data collected when they use our services, such as the IYKYK (If you know you know) App and Website, and how their data is being used.
Safety is our highest priority at IYKYK. We made IYKYK a place where users can foster meaningful and authentic connections with their friends. Moreover, we are committed to cultivating a community of kindness and understanding. We understand our responsibility to protect the community seriously.
We ensure our users’ data safety and privacy by constantly improving our safety features to keep up with the ever-changing digital world.
The basics
IYKYK allows users to receive messages through social media and instant messaging platforms.
This is how it works:
The IYKYK app permits users (“App Users”) to generate an IYKYK link and share it to solicit messages from anyone with access to the link.
Note: The person sending a message is a “Message Sender”
When a Message Sender clicks on the IYKYK link, they are taken to IYKYK website where they can send a message directly to the App User. The App User also has the choice to post the messages they receive to their social media accounts.
IYKYK does not store the name or social media handles of the Message Sender, and cannot reveal such information to the App User or others. However, IYKYK may reveal properties of the Message Sender to the App User, based on the Message Sender’s IP address, browser user agent and device used to send the message. Additionally, IYKYK may share this information with law enforcement for compliance, safety, and integrity issues.

We may be assisted by third-party advertising companies to display ads when users visit our app. These companies have the right to use information about their visit to this app and other apps (excluding the name, address, email, or phone). This is to provide ads about products or services that users care about.
Disclosure of Information
We always maintain our users’ privacy and the confidentiality of the personal data that we collect. We never disclose this information unless for some exceptional cases, such as:
Required Data
When we need any data from users, we will ask them for their consent. This data will help us contact them and satisfy their requirements whenever possible. We will never sell the data they provide to any third party as part of personal marketing without their prior and written consent unless it is a part of bulk data used for statistics and research, and it won't contain any data to identify them.
Cache
Some of our services require the use of "Cache". Cache is a small quantity of data that a phone saves. A cache may store information about users’ visits to our app. For instance, as a result of this data, information may be displayed on the site that is tailored to users’ interests.
In the event of a permanent cache, see our "stay logged in" button; users’ login information will be stored for 30 days on the device with which users last logged in successfully.
Therefore, users must be careful when using public computers. Most browsers are set by default in such a way that they accept the Cache. However, users can configure their browser so that it rejects the cache or requests prior confirmation from them before it stores the cache.
The help function in the menu list of most apps explains to users how they can prevent their browser from accepting a new cache, and how they can set their browser to alert them if they receive a new cache. It also tells users how they can delete any previous cache and how they can block all future cache.
Business Transfers
If IYKYK, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, or in the unlikely event that IYKYK goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. Users acknowledge that such transfers may occur and that any acquirer of IYKYK may continue to use their personal information as outlined in this policy.
Privacy Policy Changes
IYKYK may change the Privacy Policy from time to time and at IYKYK's sole discretion. IYKYK encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. App users' continued use of this app after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute their acceptance of such change.
